MUSICAL STYLE:

Modern Rock, alternative

BAND BIO:

By playing the local Southern California music scene the band no one special, which formed in late 1998, has quickly earned the respect of its peers with its unique blend of driving guitar melodies and sweeping, dynamic lyrics. The wide array of musical influences has molded a distinct sound that catches the ear and distinguishes no one special from the scene-oriented bands on both a local and national level. The band consists of four members: John Moriarty (guitar/vocals); Lance Allega (guitar); Doug Sim (bass); and Chris Dion (drums).

Since its first four-song EP, recorded in early 1999, no one special continues to increase its catalog with the abundance of new material and recently finished recording its second four-song EP entitled "Silver Stars Fade." The band members hope to record and release a full-length album in 2001.

Their live performances at major Orange County and L.A. venues including The Galaxy, The Gig, The Rhino Room, Gypsy Lounge and The Coach House has attracted enough attention to be invited to play L.A. Music Awards Showcase the past two years.

Are you really still reading this? If so, what you need to know is that no one special loves to write and play music a lot. Plain and simple. Period. The end. Etc. And you'll like it. A lot.
