Welcome to noonespecial.com version 3.0! It's been given a complete facelift, and we hope you enjoy the new features and look. A special thanks goes out to Jeff Bell at embefive for designing and building this for us. Great job, indeed!

So what's new in the no one special camp? Well, as you'll see in the shows section, our calendar this summer filled up fast and we will be playing all over Southern California for your viewing enjoyment. There is also a plan in the works to branch out into the surrounding states on the West Coast this fall, so stay tuned for more info on that.

Our song "Idle Ways" was chosen by LIVE Magazine to be included in their first ever compilation CD. Info on the CD is available at www.livemagazine.com, and features 15 other unsigned acts. Here is a review they did of our latest CD, Silver Stars Fade:

As seen in LIVE Magazine, May 2001
no one special - silver stars fade
Unsigned (but maybe not for long)
Rating M+ (almost as good as orgasm +)

Despite the apparent self-esteem problems with their name, the Orange County quartet have found an intelligent outlet for their thoughts. From the opening "Changed" with profoundly poetic lyrics like "lay down your fears and I will cover them with grace," the stage is set. The four songs are thoughtfully written, beautifully played and delivered with controlled emotion. The lyric sheet is written a la James Joyce, you know, no punctuation and all! The music is dynamic, soaring and powerful. Think U2 hardened up by a healthy shot of Catherine Wheel. I really like this CD. I want more from these guys. - SN
